The text in this field is inserted before every reference in the reference list that is created.

This field controls the number of blank lines inserted at the end of each reference in the reference list. For instance, if the number 1 is placed in this field, 1 blank line will be inserted after each reference.

This button controls whether the reference list is numbered. If the button is checked, then the number of the reference (1, 2, 3, ...) is placed at the beginning of each reference in the list.

If the "Numbers Help?" button is selected, then the text in this field is affixed to the end of the number which is placed at the beginning of the reference.

The text in the fields in this column is affixed to the corresponding element in the left column when the reference list is created. For instance, if the title affix string contains the string, ", {\it ", then this string will be inserted after the title in the reference. **Beware** that spaces have to be placed in these fields for spaces to separate the items in the reference list.

The items in this column are used to define the order in which the eight fields listed are placed in the reference list. For instance, if the number 2 is placed in the title box, then the title is the second field written. Also, if a field is not to be written to the reference list, then the corresponding field (box) should be left empty.

This field is used to define the order in which the first and last names of the authors appear in the reference list. The text in this field should be written exactly as you wish it to appear in the reference list, assuming three authors, all three with the name, "First Last". Any text (usually a combination of commas and blank spaces), separating the names will appear in the author list as well, exactly as written.
